Course Descriptions

Basic RiderCourses

• Choose from one of our two types of motorcycle safety courses: BRC1 or BRC2.
• Small class sizes so you get individual attention for the most effective training.
• Learn from experienced RiderCoaches on our motorcycles, which are lightweight and easy to maneuver.
• Learning to operate a motorcycle will give you the confidence you need.

Basic RiderCourse 1 (BRC1)

• Must be at least 15 1/2 and enrolled in a Driver Education Theory class to take the BRC1  course. Designed for beginner or intermediate riders. Cost of course - $299
• FREE MSF Basic online e-Course
• Must complete MSF’s Basic online e-Course (takes about 5 hrs)
• You do not need your motorcycle temps for this course.
• 2-Day Course: 5 hours of the MSF Basic online e-Course (complete within 30 days of your course at your convenience), 11 hours of range exercises (Saturday & Sunday)
• Range exercises will be ridden in a controlled environment to provide a safe place to learn how to operate a motorcycle.
• Motorcycles, helmets, eye protection, and full-fingered gloves ($5 cost) are provided
• Receive an MSF Completion Card to take to the DMV to obtain your class M endorsement upon successful completion
• If under the age of 18, you must have a parent or guardian sign this MSF-RiderCourse Waiver at the time of class; or, you can get it notarized prior to class

Basic RiderCourse 2 (BRC2)

• Must be 18 or older to take the BRC2 course. Designed for “experienced” riders who already possess riding skills and are either returning to riding or seeking a refresher course to practice and renew their riding skills. Cost of course – $190
• FREE MSF Street Strategies online e-Course
• Must complete MSF’s Street Strategies online e-Course (takes about 4 hours)
• 1-Day Course: 4 hours of the MSF Street Strategies online e-Course; and 5-6 hours of motorcycle riding exercises (either all day Saturday or all day Sunday)
• Students use their own insured & licensed motorcycle
• Students must provide proof of registration and insurance
• Motorcycle temps are required for this course
• Receive an MSF Completion Card to take to the DMV to obtain your class M endorsement upon successful completion
